Brief: After the massive success of the first edition of the BORN IN AFRICA FESTIVAL, it was only expected that BAFEST 2019 had to be bigger and better. Still building on our core creative pillars, Music, Art, Film and Fashion, the brief was to ensure BAFEST 2019 deepened the narrative of giving the world access to Africa.
The Solution: Building on Access Bank’s proposition, More than Banking and understanding the target audience, the 2019 edition was themed, “More. For The Culture”. We also ensured as a team we did more in shining the spotlight on African creatives through the technical production, design, event architecture and more.
Result/Impact: We had an attendance of more than double the attendees of the maiden edition with over 40,000 people, the biggest fashion designers in Africa, private screening of some iconic African films, amazing masterpieces from different African artiste, live drawings of attendees and performances from some of the biggest music acts in Africa.
