The appointment strengthens the Group’s technical infrastructure capabilities ahead of peak event season
360Co, the culture and holding company behind Livespot, Rent A Rig, DOT360, and Women Driving Culture, today announced the appointment of Omamo Okitiakpe as General Manager of Rent A Rig, the Group’s technical production and infrastructure operating company. The appointment comes as Rent A Rig enters a new phase of market expansion and prepares for an accelerated Q4 production calendar.
Rent A Rig provides technical infrastructure and production support across staging, power, audio-visual, trussing, rigging and lighting for major entertainment, corporate and live productions. Its portfolio spans both projects within the wider 360Co ecosystem and an expanding range of independent clients and productions across Nigeria and the wider African market.
The company has supported major productions including Livespot’s Detty December Fest, Livespot X Festival and Entertainment Week Africa, as well as external productions such as the Monieball, Nigerian Idols, AMVCA 10 & 11, The Real Housewives of Lagos, Headies Back to Base, Lagos Fanti Carnival, NBC at 75 and more.
As Rent A Rig enters its next phase, the focus is on strengthening its technical capabilities, deepening client and industry partnerships, and creating greater commercial opportunities across the live production sector.
For Okitiakpe, whose expertise spans multiple technical capacities across production and live events, the role offers an opportunity to scale the company’s existing operational frameworks.
“Stepping into this role allows me to take a broader, macro-strategic view of our entire operation,” Okitiakpe said. “It marks a deliberate evolution in how we position the brand, elevate our client relationships, and collaborate with our technical partners and vendors to deliver world-class experiences.”
“Rent A Rig is central to how 360Co delivers on its vision of building the infrastructure Africa’s creative economy runs on,” said Deola Art Alade, Founder and Group CEO of 360Co. “Omamo’s appointment strengthens one of the most important operating companies in our Group, and we’re confident in what he’ll build with the team.”
A key priority for the new GM will be driving deeper visibility for Rent A Rig’s technical capabilities and assets while developing long-term partnerships across the African entertainment and corporate sectors.
“Rent A Rig is not one person, it’s a high-performing collective,” Okitiakpe added. “We have distinct specialised units, and my responsibility is to nurture those individual capacities so they collectively amplify our market strength. Our teams are fiercely driven by attention to detail, precision finishing, and operational excellence.”
Streamlining for Peak Event Season
The appointment comes at a period of heightened activity across Nigeria’s event and entertainment landscape, with multiple high-profile productions already scheduled for the coming months. To support seamless delivery across concurrent projects, Rent A Rig has completed comprehensive resource mapping and technical planning ahead of the peak event season.
“We have mapped out our concurrent event schedules well in advance,” Okitiakpe explained. “Specialised teams have been strategically assigned per project, and advanced technical alignment sessions are already underway with our clients. We are fully ahead of the curve, ensuring our asset deployment and execution remain flawless.”
As he steps into the role, Okitiakpe’s focus remains on strengthening Rent A Rig’s internal structures, developing its specialist teams and expanding the company’s commercial pipeline within Nigeria’s rapidly evolving live production sector.
