Livespot Named Trailblazing Event Design and Production Company of the Year

Livespot has won its category at the Brandcom Awards 2026. The honour was announced at the industry gala held at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, which brought together the marketing, brand management and media sectors of West Africa.

Organised annually by the marketing communications publication Brand Communicator, the Brandcom Awards recognise companies that raise the standard of consumer experiences and live production.

The recognition reflects the breadth of what we build: festivals and properties of our own, and the stories we tell with partners across business, government and culture. Five divisions carry that work, and one creative standard runs through all of them:

  • Livespot Experiences runs the cultural properties we own and creates experiences for brands, governments and institutions. Our own calendar includes Livespot X Festival, Detty December Fest, Love Like A Movie, Entertainment Week Africa and a line-up of comedy, fashion, lifestyle and nightlife properties: Jokes & Jollof, Runway Coterie, Turn Up Lagos and Club X. Detty December Fest 2025 ran from 7 to 30 December at the Ilubirin Mixed-Use Development, where an undeveloped site became a festival ground for 20,000 guests, with a 19.4-metre by 46.4-metre stage, over 1,600 LED screen panels and 300 metres of truss. With partners, we have created the Meta Flex Naija Creators experience, the AMVCA 11 after-party for MultiChoice, Cook with Maggi across eight cities for Nestlé, Goalkeepers 2030 for Africa in Motion, the Forum Creation Africa summit for the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and, this month, Beauty in the Motherland 2026 at Eko Hotel.
  • Livespot Scenic designs and builds the sets, stages and environments behind our work and our partners’. Credits include the stage and set design for AMVCA 10 and 11; set builds for Idols Nigeria, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Nigeria and the shows Livespot Studios produces; and brand environments including the Heineken House Experience for the UEFA Champions League, Fenty Club and the Stanbic IBTC FUZE Festival Experience.
  • Livespot Studios produces film, television, music and audio. Commissioned work includes The Voice Nigeria Season 3, The Real Housewives of Lagos for Showmax and Last One Laughing Naija, an Amazon Prime Video Original. Our own slate includes the feature documentary Way Home and music videos for Darey, and our music and audio work spans campaigns for NNPC, the World Bank, Airtel and MTN.
  • Livespot Spaces designs, owns and operates venues. The Livespot Entertarium in Lekki, open since 2022 with a standing capacity of 2,000, hosts our own flagship properties and has welcomed the Gangs of Lagos premiere and press junket for Amazon, the African press conference for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Design Week Lagos and the Lagos Leadership Summit. A second Entertarium, a 3,395-square-metre creative and entertainment hub in Ikoyi, opens in 2027.
  • Livespot Icons books talent for festivals, brand activations and productions, working alongside artists’ own management teams. Across our festivals, Icons has booked and partnered with artists including Cardi B, Busta Rhymes, Gunna, Kim Kardashian, Ciara, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tems, Tiwa Savage, Rema, Ayra Starr, Juma Jux and Diamond Platnumz.

The Brandcom honour joins recognition we have received over the years: Creative Solutions Company of the Decade at the EDGE Awards 2024; an AMVCA for Best Costume Designer in 2023 and two AMVCA nominations in 2026 for our Showmax series; Excellence in Experiential Marketing at the Nigerian Marketing Awards 2022; a Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival award in 2020; and a finalist place at The Drum Awards for Event Design 2023.

Livespot Managing Director, Tiwa Medubi, said: “Winning this award validates our daily mission across the Livespot Nation to redefine what is possible in experiential production. This milestone belongs entirely to our brilliant team and the clients who trust us to turn ambitious concepts into deeply impactful realities.”

Two flagship events come next. Entertainment Week Africa, which began as Entertainment Week Lagos in 2022, runs in Lagos from 17 to 22 November under the theme Closing The Gap, and includes the first and exclusive screening of University of Side Hustle, our first original feature film. Detty December Fest returns from 18 to 30 December. Details are at ewafrica.com and dettydecfest.com.
