Livespot360 embarked on a thrilling journey of creativity from ideation to execution for the press conference and premiere event for Prime Video’s first Amazon Original film in Africa, “Gangs of Lagos,” at the Livespot Entertarium.
The press conference was hosted by the talented Bisola Aiyeola, who effortlessly guided the conversation, ensuring that all questions were addressed. Attendees were treated to insightful details about the movie’s plot, its inspiration, and the challenges faced during filming, giving the audience an insightful behind-the-scenes peek at the making of the film.
Following the press conference, a one-on-one press junket allowed select media outlets to have intimate conversations with the cast and crew, gaining further insights into the creative process and the vision behind the movie. As the evening approached, the premiere kicked off with a grand arrival experience that left guests in awe. Yoruba praise singers and ensemble welcomed them with traditional song and dance, creating an electric atmosphere. Fans screamed with excitement, further adding to the anticipation of the new film.
The blue carpet was a hub of activity, with media and photographers capturing the glamour and style of the attendees. Guests had the opportunity to pose for photographs and give interviews, adding to the buzz and anticipation of the premiere.
After the blue carpet, guests were ushered into an experience/holding area that exuded the richness of Nigerian street culture. Beautifully decorated with locally relevant elements, the area offered finger foods and drinks that tantalized the taste buds, giving guests a true taste of Nigerian cuisine. The highlight of the evening however was the exclusive screening of “Gangs of Lagos!”
Attendees were treated to the first viewing of the highly anticipated film, followed by a curtain call of the producer, cast, and crew, who were met with thunderous applause for their performances, hard work and creativity.
The after-party was a true celebration of Naija Owambe style, with a lively and energetic atmosphere. The venue was made to resemble a typical Lagos garage street party, capturing the essence of “Isale Eko.” Guests enjoyed the flavourful Bukka-style cuisine and local drinks, indulging in the rich flavours that represent the Nigerian heritage.
